DESCRIPTION
AW-500 adsorbent is a clay-bound, acid-resistant molecular sieve product. AW-500 adsorbent will adsorb molecules with critical diameters up to approximately 5 angstroms.
APPLICATIONS
AW-500 adsorbent has been specially formulated for the natural gas processing industry to dry and purify sour natural gas and liquids. It is also used to dry and purify process streams containing strong acid contaminants, such as hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, and the oxides of nitrogen. AW-500 adsorbent has demonstrated the ability to provide long service life and predictable, economical dehydration service.
CHEMICAL FORMULA
Mx/a[(AlO2)x(SiO2)y]• z H2O [Ma+=Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+]
REGENERATION
AW-500 adsorbent can be regenerated for re-use by purging or evacuating at temperatures of 300 °F to 600 °F.
SAFETY AND HANDLING
See the TOP brochure entitled "Precautions and Safe Practices for Handling Molecular Sieves in Process Units" or contact your TOP representative.
SHIPPING INFORMATION
AW-500 adsorbent is available in 55-gallon steel drums or quick load bags.
